Mixed Berry Avocado Acai Superfood Smoothie Bowl
Made with anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, nutrient dense, and immune and brain boosting ingredients to nourish your body and mind! Also excellent as a post-exercise meal for recovery. This can be made into a thick smoothie by adding an additional 1/2 cup of water to the recipe.
Ingredients
Whole Fruits & Veggies
- 2 cups mixed berries, frozen
- 2 cups spinach or any mixed greens, raw
Healthy Fats
- 1 medium avocado (conventional safe due to thick skin)
- 1 TB raw coconut butter
- 1 TB flax seeds or chia seeds
Protein, Spices & Superfood Powders
- 2 scoops plant based protein powder
- ½ tsp ceylon cinnamon
- ¼ tsp turmeric root powder
- ¾ tsp fresh ginger (or 1/8 tsp ginger root powder)
- 2 tsp green superfood powder (or moringa leaf powder)
- 1 tsp beet root juice powder
- 2 tsp Super Anthocyanins powder (or acai powder)
- 3 ½ cups purified water
Optional Topping Ideas for Each Bowl
- Handful of fresh berries
- 5-6 thin banana slices
- 1 TB hulled hemp seeds
- 1 TB sprouted pumpkin seeds
- 1 TB coconut flakes
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, including water, into blender
- Optional: Add ¼ tsp USDA Organic Stevia Extract Powder for additional sweetness
- Blend on high until smooth
- Pour into 2 bowls and add optional toppings
